Human creativity, emotion, and complex decision-making are still difficult to replace
A thunderclap on the ground. In the past few months, the artificial intelligence model DeepSeek has changed from online to offline, transforming scientific and technological achievements into new quality productivity, as if changing real life.
At a glance, there may be “new colleagues” around you and me. AI drivers, AI anchors, AI teaching assistants, AI doctors, and even the so-called “AI civil servants” are all coming one after another, and science fiction films turn into documentaries in seconds. While people are surprised, they can’t help but “break the defense”: these “new colleagues”, could it be that they are here to steal our jobs?
Artificial intelligence does have many outstanding performances. For example, it has significant advantages in processing large amounts of data, performing repetitive tasks, improving efficiency, etc., and even has the trait of “not being paid and not being tired”. It can be seen that at some levels, artificial intelligence does constitute a certain substitution for human labor, and the saying of “grabbing jobs” is not groundless.

However, don’t be overly nervous. In Futian District, Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, where 70 government “digital intelligence employees” were introduced, the relevant person in charge said that it is not accurate to call “digital intelligence employees” “AI civil servants”, they are actually only assistants of civil servants, do not have the ability to make decisions independently, and need to work under supervision. Why? Human creativity, emotion, and complex decision-making are still difficult to replace.
On the one hand, although artificial intelligence integrates massive information and computing power, it is still a “model”, simulating the existing cognitive framework of human beings, and it is difficult to truly transcend the stereotype and stimulate creativity in the short term. On the other hand, people are social, and most of their work is meaningful because of their self-realization and interpersonal connection. The face-to-face and intimate government services, the benevolence of the doctors in the medical treatment and education, and the passing of the torch from generation to generation, can allow both parties to get precious emotional value and life experience. This is something that is difficult for artificial intelligence to achieve.
Of course, this is not to say that the value of AI is greatly diminished. It should be seen that it can bring a certain degree of “volume”, and it is not a negative “involution”, but it helps people to further develop their strengths and avoid weaknesses and specialize in their careers. From a dialectical and historical perspective, artificial intelligence is not so much here to “grab the cake”, but more like “making the cake bigger”. After all, all the scientific and technological progress has been aimed at serving the well-being of mankind.
As individuals in the workplace, we have reason to be happy to see it happen, and we have reason to be a chicken. Not only adapt to the development of the times, learn to make artificial intelligence for my use, but also do not forget to temper the housekeeping skills of “it has nothing for me”, give full play to people’s subjective initiative, and respond to all changes with the same spirit of hard work, we can be invincible and mutually beneficial and symbiotic with artificial intelligence.
