On February 28, a reporter from Yangcheng Evening News contacted Lao Zhou. According to him, the tour group was signed up by his father, and he asked his father if he would be asked to shop, and his father said that the travel agency promised that it would not, so the two were relieved to travel with the group.

The next day, the tour guide took them into a Pu’er tea shop, closed the door and asked that they not be allowed to take pictures. Lao Zhou said that the clerk said that the efficacy of Pu’er tea was “out of the blue”, claiming that it can not only lower blood pressure and blood lipids, but also purify blood vessels, attracting many elderly people to buy it. A tourist secretly posted a recording to a WeChat group, which was disbanded.
On the third day, they were taken by the tour guide to a jade store in Xishuangbanna, and the clerk immediately surrounded them to sell the products, “I am staring at you in the bathroom, it is terrible, and as soon as I come out of the bathroom, I will immediately sell it.” Lao Zhou said that some people spent tens of thousands of yuan under the guidance of the clerk. After lunch, they were taken to a latex factory, where they were also “brainwashed and sold”.
“The whole trip to the scenic spot is very few, often in the store was promoted, until the last day did not let us go, the tour guide said back to Kunming to see the flower market, and finally went to a silverware shop.” Lao Zhou provided several live videos to reporters, in the video, Lao Zhou asked about the price of silverware, and the clerk introduced that a comb was about 2,000 yuan, and a bowl was about 30,000 yuan, and many people watched and bought.
Lao Zhou said that when he was in Xishuangbanna, he called the local cultural and tourism department, and the other party asked him to call the government hotline, but he couldn’t get through when he called the government hotline. On the 27th, Lao Zhou returned to Yancheng, Jiangsu Province, and posted the above experience to the video platform. Many netizens left messages saying that they had encountered similar experiences.
A reporter from Yangcheng Evening News noticed that the number of fans of Lao Zhou’s video account has exceeded 700,000. He introduced that he was a local “little Internet celebrity” in Jiangsu, and after the video was released, the Yunnan cultural and tourism department replied that it would launch an investigation. The reporter called the Yunnan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and the other party suggested calling 12345 to complain.
