Guiyang, Feb. 28 — With the approval of the Supreme People’s Court, on Feb. 28, 2025, the Intermediate People’s Court of Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, executed Yu Huaying in accordance with legal procedures, and the procuratorate sent personnel to supervise the scene in accordance with the law.

After trial, the court found that between 1993 and 2003, Yu Huaying, in order to seek illegal benefits, separately conspired with others to commit crimes in Guizhou, Chongqing, Yunnan and other places, abducting and trafficking 17 children. Accordingly, on October 25, 2024, the Guiyang Intermediate People’s Court made a first-instance criminal judgment in accordance with the law, sentencing Yu Huaying to death, depriving him of political rights for life, and confiscating all his personal property for the crime of abducting and trafficking children. Yu Huaying was not satisfied and appealed. The Guizhou Provincial High People’s Court ruled to reject the appeal, uphold the original judgment, and report to the Supreme People’s Court for approval. After review, the Supreme People’s Court approved Yu Huaying’s death sentence in accordance with law.

Before carrying out the death sentence, the Guiyang City Intermediate People’s Court arranged for Yu Huaying to meet with her close relatives, fully protecting the lawful rights and interests of the convicts who had been executed.
