On March 3rd, Huaxi Biotech (688363.SH) released the full text of the speech made by its Chairman Zhao Yan at the executive meeting of the president.
Zhao Yan mentioned that all corrupt officials, regardless of their positions, must disclose their issues and submit their resignations within the stipulated time frame by March 31. Those who fail to do so voluntarily beyond the deadline will be handed over to judicial authorities for handling and will not receive internal treatment.
Recently, Huaxi Biotech released its 2024 annual performance progress report, indicating that the company’s total operating revenue was approximately 5.37 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 11.6%; the net profit attributable to the parent company’s shareholders was approximately 164 million yuan, a year-on-year decline of 72.27%.

Regarding team building and organizational governance, Zhao Yan said that any organization is prone to making mistakes. Whenever it develops rapidly, some people tend to become complacent and think they are so capable. Once problems arise, they start complaining. Huaxi Biotech has made significant performance adjustments in the past two years. Part of the reason for these adjustments is market-driven, but the greater reason is that the company realized that its organizational structure and talent management failed to keep pace with the changes of the times and thus took the initiative to slow down.
Zhao Yan said that in the future, the company doesn’t need those people who believe in the cause only when they see success and benefits. Such people are mediocre and cheap. Starting from today, the company will resolutely eliminate those who have lost their dreams, give up thinking and complain about the environment.
Zhao Yan mentioned that at present, Huaxi Biotech still hasn’t emerged from the crisis. This crisis is not caused by the decline in performance; rather, it lies in the fact that the entropy increase of the existing organization has far exceeded the speed allowed by this era, and it has reached the point where drastic measures must be taken for rectification.
“Given the lax management style in the past, many problems have arisen within the company. This year, the company has begun to carry out a thorough rectification and purification. We will not tolerate any indulgence or leniency. All corrupt personnel, regardless of their positions, must submit a written statement of their problems and resign within the stipulated time limit by March 31st.”
Zhao Yan said that if someone fails to voluntarily confess after the deadline has passed, they will be handed over to the judicial authorities for handling and no internal measures will be taken.
Stay away from those excuses and complaints. Any complaint about the environment rather than self-reflection will lead to losing the depth of perspective on this world, and will only make oneself a failure. “I’m an entrepreneur, I’ve built this from scratch. Don’t think that having some power in hand, creating some chaos and causing a fluctuation in performance will be taken seriously by me.”
