Recently, the staff of the Red River Valley Forest Park in Meixian County encountered 3 juvenile takin foraging in the forest during their daily patrol. To their surprise, they recorded the scene with their mobile phones.

At about 4 o’clock in the afternoon on February 24, when the staff Wen Xiaowei inspected the vicinity of the Feihong Waterfall scenic spot, he suddenly found that there were animals moving in the distance, and when he got closer, he found that three small takins were leisurely foraging in the snow. I saw that the three takin had brown and yellow coats, which were particularly eye-catching against the white snow. Sometimes they bow their heads and arch their noses to open the snow, and sometimes they look around vigilantly, and one of them seems to notice a movement in the distance and up its ears to listen carefully. In order not to disturb them, Wen Xiaowei stood at a distance and observed, and then quietly left.
It is understood that the Red River Valley Forest Park in Meixian County has found traces of wild takin activities many times in recent years. The relevant person in charge of the scenic spot said that they will continue to strengthen the protection and monitoring of wild animals, create a good ecological environment, and let them have a comfortable habitat.
