The police investigation confirmed that Li’s driving behavior had violated the provisions of the “Road Traffic Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China” on “motor vehicles driving on the road shall not exceed the maximum speed indicated by the speed limit sign”, and was suspected of serious speeding.

At present, the case is under further investigation.

It is understood that the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra has a maximum of 1548 horsepower, and owners need to fully understand and be familiar with the driving characteristics of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra before releasing its peak power performance step by step.

According to the official introduction of Xiaomi Auto, when the total mileage of Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is less than 300km, the driving safety protection function will be forced to turn on and cannot be turned off.

The driving safety protection function does the following: the maximum speed of the vehicle is limited to 140 km/h, the maximum dynamic performance of the vehicle is limited, and the Boost mode, ejection mode and track master mode are disabled.

When the cumulative mileage of the vehicle exceeds 300km, the owner can turn off the driving safety protection function by clicking “Vehicle Settings – Driving Preferences”.

Complete the “Driving Safety Precautions” through “Vehicle Settings – Driving Preferences” and pass the driving safety test. (The test result is bound to the current owner’s account, and you need to re-test if you change the account) After passing the test, the account will unlock the Drag Race mode and track mode.

In drag mode, pressing the acceleration and brake pedals at the same time will initiate a catapult start with a maximum horsepower of 1548PS.

Switching to qualifying mode in track mode and pressing the “One-Touch Boost” button can also achieve a maximum horsepower of 1548PS.

Xiaomi Auto specifically reminds car owners that the drag race mode and track mode are strictly forbidden to be used on open roads.

Please carefully check the vehicle and surrounding status before driving, Xiaomi Auto does not recommend users to use these two driving modes on slippery roads, which may cause performance degradation, and even cause vehicle skidding, instability and other safety hazards.
