The “No overtime work” campaign initiated by DJI, the leading drone technology company (hereinafter referred to as “DJI”), began on February 27th and has been ongoing for more than a week now.
The report mentioned that at 9 p.m. at DJI’s Shenzhen headquarters, supervisors and HR rushed people out of work in three rounds, prohibiting employees from working overtime. In addition, the Shanghai area is more straightforward, with the office building turning off the lights at 9 p.m. sharp.
An employee of the technical department of DJI’s Shenzhen headquarters revealed that on February 27, the supervisor proposed at the department group meeting that for the sake of everyone’s health, excessive overtime is not advocated, and there are no tasks that must be completed, so go home early and “must leave work at 9 o’clock“.
According to the report, if you go to work from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and leave work at 9 p.m., minus a 1.5-hour lunch break and 1 hour of dinner, DJI employees work about 8-9.5 hours a day.

The report also revealed that at the end of 2024, DJI issued an internal announcement to the effect that in order to optimize costs, the company will cancel the reimbursement of overtime taxis at night from January 1, 2025; Closure of gymnasiums, swimming pools and badminton halls and other venue services; Reduction of team building expenses, etc. In order to compensate for the inconvenience caused by the cancellation of benefits, DJI will issue an additional 500GT coins to each employee every month as a subsidy. GT Coin is the currency unit of DJI’s internal store, and 1 GT Coin is equivalent to approximately 1 RMB.
