According to Wang Xiaojun, deputy director of the Department of Vocational Capacity Building of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, in 2024, all localities will implement the “new eight-level worker” vocational skill level system and carry out vocational skill level recognition, and a total of more than 12 million workers will obtain vocational skill level certificates or vocational qualification certificates throughout the year.
According to the 2024 policy, after the application to the social security department is approved, the human resources and social security department will issue skill upgrading subsidies according to the standards of up to 1,000 yuan, 1,500 yuan and 2,000 yuan respectively.
“In 2025, we will focus on key groups such as migrant workers, college graduates who have left school and are unemployed, registered unemployed, and people with employment difficulties, and organize and implement project-based vocational skills training around key areas such as health care and childcare, advanced manufacturing, modern services, and new occupations, so as to further improve the pertinence and effectiveness of skills training to promote employment.” Wang Xiaojun said.
