According to reports, the butterfly Lake in Gongliu County, Yili, Xinjiang, is named after the water area that looks like dancing butterflies.
At present, there have been tree-shaped ice flowers on the ice of Butterfly Lake, giving people a real and wonderful feeling, and netizens have commented: “Nature is a miracle”, “really refreshing”, “and tricked me to go to Xinjiang”.
It is understood that the formation of this “ice forest” requires a variety of conditions such as water icing and melting. When cracks form on the surface of water, the cracks gradually expand and extend to the entire surface of the water.
Xinjiang Butterfly Lake Park is located in the east of Gongliu County, Yili. The park is rich in aquatic resources, including fish gulls, wild ducks, egrets and other more than 20 kinds of wild animals. The plant community in the garden is rich, including 20,000 plants such as mantou willow, weeping willow, round crown elm, sea buckthorn, wolfberry, as well as 12,000 trees and shrubs such as ash, golden tree and apple tree. The garden landscape and facilities include lotus pond, butterfly lake, stone arch bridge, children’s play area, fishing area, fitness area, etc.
In 2019, Butterfly Lake Park was successfully created as a national AAA scenic spot, covering a total area of 606 mu. The park is shaped by the “butterfly” pattern with regional characteristics of Tokuzku, including waterfront recreation, ecological science popularization, children’s amusement, health sports and other areas, and has become an ideal place for local residents and tourists to exercise, health, entertainment and leisure.
