Recently, a merchant in the ancient city of Datong, Shanxi Province, was locked by many staff members and forced to turn on the lights because they did not turn on the lights as required, which caused widespread concern.
On February 7, Gucheng Street, Pingcheng District, Datong, Shanxi Province issued a letter of apology. The apology letter said that due to the improper working methods of the streets of the ancient city, it caused heated discussions on the Internet of “breaking doors and lighting up lights”, which occupied a lot of social resources, and I would like to express my sincere apologies to friends from all walks of life.
On the surface, the “breaking the door and lighting up” incident is due to poor communication, causing misunderstanding, and triggering public opinion, but in essence, it reflects that we are in a hurry to achieve results in the process of work, simple and rude methods, and weak sense of service, resulting in deviation in work, which has a great negative impact on the image of the city.

According to Jimu News, on the evening of February 3, a store in the ancient city of Datong, Shanxi Province, failed to turn on the lights according to local requirements, and many staff members picked the lock and entered the store to turn on the lights. Judging from the surveillance video, after the door of the store was opened, a number of people entered the store, including three staff members wearing fluorescent green uniforms, and the words “Pingcheng Comprehensive Law Enforcement” were printed on the back of the clothes. Previously, the “Ancient City Lighting Proposal” issued by the Gulou Community of the Gucheng Street Office of Pingcheng District, Datong City showed that from the 28th of the lunar month to the 15th of the first month, from 18 o’clock to 6 o’clock in the morning of the next day, it belongs to the lighting time period, and the commercial stores in the ancient city should ensure that the indoor lighting is sufficient.
